Future Self: Teen Zine Vol. 5

Future Self: Teen Zine vol. 5 invites teens to consider how they think about their future selves in light of God’s promises over them. The challenge of being a human - and especially a teen - is navigating the vast and sometimes scary unknown that is the future. Our goal at StoryMakers is to help teens feel rooted in God’s promises no matter what their future looks like.

Sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking that our future is all up to us. There is pressure in our own hearts and minds, not to mention from the world around us, to take control of our own lives and make them exactly the way we want them to be. This Future Self issue walks teens through stories from the past in order to find meaning in our futures. God’s stories in the Bible speak to us and remind us who holds our future hope!

The Future Self Issue is three zines in one! It includes three parts, each with four chapters: This gives teens 12 chapters of art, scripture, grounding theological truth, and processing space to reflect on the following themes:

A Quick Start Guide for grown-ups accompanies each Teen Zine to support parents, teachers, and youth ministry leaders as they join their teens on this faith adventure.

*Each teen will need their own zine. StoryMakers Teen Zines have space for reflection, note-taking, and doodling. Zines are a place for a teen to express their questions, discoveries, and creativity as they explore the Bible and their faith in God.
