Mystery Zine Volume One: Jesus

Follow the clues in Mystery Zine Volume One: Jesus. Designed especially with middle schoolers in mind, StoryMakers will explore who Jesus claimed to be, how people reacted to him 2,000 years ago, and how people view him today. Over the course of 12 chapters, Mystery Zine 1* tells story after story about Jesus’s birth, life, death, and resurrection—and the drama that surrounded him. Uncover the mystery by reading letters written from the perspective of different Bible characters—Moses, Mary, Joseph, Angel Gabriel, Peter, Luke… to name a few! They all had important things to say about the Messiah. Mystery Zine 1 is a snapshot of how Jesus fits into the big picture of God’s redemption story and all the promises that were uniquely fulfilled by him.

Every chapter of the zine offers six points of entry to engage with the lesson, including creative visuals, letters from Bible characters, field notes, fun facts, thoughts to ponder, and hands-on activities. Zines are designed to be enjoyed in church with friends or at home with family. We recommend exploring one chapter a week.

*Each StoryMaker will need their own zine. Zines have space for reflection, note-taking, and doodling. Zines are a place for a child to express their questions, discoveries, and creativity as they explore the ancient stories of the Bible and their faith in God.
