Advent One Zine - Second Edition [PRE-ORDER]

Advent One: Light Enters takes kids on a 4-week journey to rediscover the light that entered the darkness during this magical season of hope, peace, joy, and love. StoryMakers will see how Jesus is the one we have been waiting for—the light in the darkness who casts out all fear. This 4-chapter Advent One Zine* features stories from the Gospels of John, Luke, and Matthew (and a tiny bit of Genesis) featuring Jesus, the Magi, and the Angel Gabriel in this ancient story of a young couple, an evil king, and the hope that comes blazing into the night.

• Hope: Light enters the darkness (John 1:1-12, Gen 1:1-3)
• Peace: Angel Gabriel speaks to Mary (Luke 1:26-38)
• Joy: An angel speaks to Joseph (Matthew 1:18-25)
• Love: Wise men visit King Herod and Jesus (Matthew 2:1-15)

Every chapter of the zine offers six points of entry to engage with the lesson, including creative visuals, interactive storytelling, field notes, fun facts, thoughts to ponder, and hands-on activities… plus comic pages and stickers! Zines are designed to be enjoyed in church with friends or at home with family. We recommend exploring one chapter a week. 

*Each StoryMaker will need their own zine. Zines have space for reflection, note-taking, and doodling. Zines are a place for a child to express their questions, discoveries, and creativity as they explore the ancient stories of the Bible and their faith in God.
