Get to know the books of Joshua, Judges, and Ruth in Old Testament Adventure Seven: Promised Land. Retold in the zine over the course of 12 chapters, the Promised Lane Zine* is an adventure full of unexpected journeys, epic battles, secret spies, and more. Walk along the walls of Jericho with Joshua and Rahab; meet ancient judges like Othniel, Debroah, and Gideon; learn about Samson’s super strength and how Delilah took it away; and reflect on the redemptive story of Ruth and Boaz. As kids dive into these stories and characters from the Bible, they’ll see how God tends to work in surprising ways—through surprisingly ordinary people.
Every chapter of the zine offers six points of entry to engage with the lesson, including creative visuals, interactive storytelling, field notes, fun facts, thoughts to ponder, and hands-on activities. Zines are designed to be enjoyed in church with friends or at home with family. We recommend exploring one chapter a week.
